Fotos

It's been such a lazy day. Too cold to go anywhere and spring fever was getting the best of me, so I decided to grab some photos around my home. I just love trying unique and different angles. Never know what you will come up with. Shooting digital has such an advantage. If you don't like the photo, no problem, TRASH it! Beware, you can't do this with your children. Once you have children, trashing is not allowed. Anyways... still images can be accomplished by you! You might like to invest in a small tripod to make this a little easier. I like setting my camera on aperture priority, choosing a small depth of field, somewhere around 1.8-4.o and letting the camera choose my shutter speed. Once my camera makes its mind up as to what the shutter speed is I then set my camera on Manual mode. For example, if I want my aperture to be at 4.0, I set my camera on AP, dial my settings to 4.0 and take a photo. So if the camera reads the shutter at 1/80 I then go to M mode and place my settings at F4.0 @ 1/80. On my Canon I have to over expose at least 1/2 to 1 stop for each shot or my images tend to be underexposed. So, instead of setting it as 1/80 I go ahead and set it at 1/60 and take my shot. In the Arkansas Life magazine that came in today's newspaper, they listed their photographers. I really enjoyed Johnny Meyer's photos. I visited his flicker page and he gave all the settings to his photos. Check that out and let me know what you think. Click on one of his photos and scroll down to additional information on the right hand side. This is a great way to learn.
